We believe that poverty and disease are intimately linked. Good health is necessary to realize the benefits of the education process and education is necessary to break the cycle of poverty. Where health improves, literacy and economic opportunity improve. Through good health and education, the foundation of poverty begins to crumble.
It is our hope that we will be able to foster the idea that we are all one and ultimately, responsible for the well being of our neighbors, both near and far. Kind acts leave an everlasting impression.
Kindness in Action makes every effort to understand the local conditions of a target group in order to apply an effective project plan. We support our objectives by hosting periodic health camps and educational projects. Our volunteers visit schools, orphanages or other facilities and assist in dental, medical and eye check-ups. Through this process, we are able to assess the needs of the community and we then choose projects that will provide an integrative and comprehensive approach to our objectives. All services and materials are free of charge and we focus on the needs of children and women.
We believe it is vital to confer with members of the community to determine if there are other health care and educational needs and develop plans to provide assistance. In certain cases we will provide financial assistance for projects to build schools and health care centers.
We invite doctors, dentists, nurses and other skilled and non-skilled volunteers from the local areas being served and everywhere else in the world to donate their time and expertise.
We will not be an intrusive force in the lives of any group we choose to help. Any instruction regarding health, education and community awareness will be done with understanding and respect of the cultural climate. We will only go where local charities, schools or officials have extended an invitation.
As a non-profit charity, we rely on public support to fund all of our programs. All our work is performed on a voluntary basis and we have no paid employees.
