Overview The Arulchandru School for the Mentally Handicapped is run by the ANISE society, a unit of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, which has its service units throughout India. The school is situated near Paramakudi, southern India. The school was established there due to a high population of children with mental disabilities. The overall vision of the project is to empower mentally handicapped children to be productive members of society. The school admits all children irrespective of caste and creed. Presently, the school has very little space, no clean drinking water and no available transport for children.
Role Kindness In Action is currently fundraising. Our goal is to raise $80,000. The funds will be used to enhance educational resources for children with mental disabilities through a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
